Six People were killed on Wednesday after a Magnitude 6.2 quake hits Central Italy , according to reports .

Some People were killed in Percara del Tronto , A family of four was killed under the debris . Two bodies were pulled from the rubble in Amatrice ANSA news agency reported .

The Magnitude 6.2 quake Struck at 3:36 a.m., was felt across a swath of central Italy . Very first images of damage showed debris in the street and some buildings collapsed in towns and villages .

The European Mediterranean Seismological Center put the magnitude at 6.0. The U.S. Geological Survey put the magnitude at 6.2 with the epicenter at Norcia, about 105 miles northeast of Rome, and with a relatively shallow depth of 6 miles.

"No victims were reported but the earthquakes damaged buldings ,” Mayor Nicola Alemanno told RaiNews24.

Strong quake rattles central Italy   :  In Amatrice, near Rieti region, several buildings have collapsed. Mayor Sergio Perozzi told RAI-TV said lights had gone out and that he had trouble reaching emergency responders and the hospital.

“Town doesn’t exist anymore,” Perozzi said.

Picturesque medieval is a  town of about 3,000 residents, known as the home of “pasta all’amatriciana”  was cut off after a bridge connecting the town and the rest of the region was damaged in the quake.

Perozzi, showing on RAI-TV, called for help: “People are stuck underneath the rubble. Houses are no longer there.”
